World Symposium on Passengers and Aviation Finance will have the theme of Creating Value for the Customer

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) reported on September 11 that the theme of the dual World Financial Symposium (WFS) and World Passenger Symposium (WPS) will be “Creating Value – Unlocking Potential”. The event will take place October 25-26, 2023 in Chicago, USA, with United Airlines as the co-host airline. Willie Walsh, Director General of IATA, commented the following on the event, “With traffic levels largely recovered to pre-pandemic levels, the industry is focused on rebuilding financial sustainability and addressing growth challenges, particularly around infrastructure and of passenger processes. The union of these two events reinforces that meeting customer expectations regarding air travel and achieving financial sustainability go hand in hand.” Scott Kirby, CEO of United Airlines, also spoke about expectations for the combined symposia, “We are excited to be the airline co-host of the IATA World Financial Symposium and World Passenger Symposium. These are the industry’s cornerstone events for aviation finance, customer experience, distribution and payment professionals.
