New Aviation Cybersecurity Solution Launched
Air transport technology company SITA has launched a new security solution to protect airport and airline infrastructure, aiming to ensure safe and reliable access for assets and end users. Called SITA Managed NAC, it offers protection for local area network (LAN) and wireless communications, with identification checks and network segmentation. The solution is designed to ensure terminals and airlines comply with industry safety standards and maintain operational efficiency. “Demand for secure and reliable network access controls is higher than ever, especially at airports where segregation of traffic and devices is paramount across different areas of the airport infrastructure and security zones,” said Martin Smillie, SVP of SITA for Communications and Data Interchange (CDE). The solution enables granular control over network access and the ability to isolate devices that do not meet compliance standards, helping airports and airlines improve cybersecurity and ensure compliance with standards. SITA Managed NAC integrates with the SITA Campus Network, offering network management and access control based on Cisco’s ISE (Identity Services Engine) platform. Using a Zero Trust security model, each access request is authenticated, authorized, and continually validated, ensuring that only verified users and devices can access the network. This reduces the risk of unauthorized access and potential breaches. – https://aeromagazine.uol.com.br/artigo/lancada-nova-solucao-de-seguranca-cibernetica-para-aviacao.html
