SITA highlights commitment to sustainability at ALTA Forum next week

SITA, a global leader in air transport technology, is ready to reaffirm its commitment to sustainability at the ALTA Airlines Leaders Forum event, taking place from October 28th to 30th in the Bahamas. Shawn Gregor, president of SITA for the Americas, will participate in the panel entitled “Runway for a Sustainable yet Possible Aviation” on October 29, where he will highlight the company’s actions and goals to reduce carbon emissions. SITA has made significant efforts to address climate change. In 2023, the company has committed to reducing its gasoline emissions by 46.2% by 2030 and achieving a 90% reduction by 2050, aligning with global initiatives to limit global temperature rise to 1.5ºC per year. The transition to full use of renewable energy sources by 2030 is also part of SITA’s sustainability strategy. Furthermore, the company is committed to ensuring that by 2027, 50% of its suppliers are aligned with climate goals.
