Airlines moved 1.2 million tons of cargo in 2024

Until October this year, air cargo transport handled 1.2 million tons of cargo, a volume 10.2% higher than that recorded in the same period in 2023. The data was presented by the Brazilian Association of Airlines (ABEAR) on 28 November during the Vozes do Setor Aéreo event, which brought together representatives of the federal government, Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), airline companies, and airport concessionaires in Brasilia to discuss market scenarios and opportunities in the cargo transport business. Brazilian airlines transported 405.3 thousand tons in the domestic market, which represents an increase of 12.5% ​​in relation to the amount handled last year. Internationally, with movements by Brazilian and foreign companies, 843.3 thousand tons of cargo were transported, 9.1% more than in 2023.
