First inclusive flights with adapted aircraft mark unprecedented ANAC event in Campinas

People with lower limb disabilities took unprecedented flights in the only adapted aircraft in Latin America available at a civil aviation school, during an event held in Campinas, SP, on June 11. The first event of Brazil’s Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) dedicated exclusively to the inclusion of people with disabilities in the aviation sector took place in the hangar of the Safe Aviation School and brought together representatives from various sectors of society. At the opening, ANAC director Luiz Ricardo Nascimento highlighted the Agency’s work in combating ableism through the Flying is for Everyone project, which is part of the Wings for All program. “It is a great joy to be able to carry out a concrete action and show Brazil, young people and people who, for some reason, have a disability or use a wheelchair, that they can fly,” he said. – https://aeroin.net/primeiros-voos-inclusivos-com-aeronave-adaptada-marcam-evento-inedito-da-anac-em-campinas/
